Pegasus Pro No. 92 Shoulder Plane

  • Highly accurate shoulder plane with a 19 mm (¾") full-width blade
  • Precision machined, ground and polished for exceptional accuracy
  • Flat sole with sides precisely square to the sole
  • Movable front section for fine or coarse work
  • Converts to a chisel plane for cleaning stopped rebates
  • Micro-adjustable blade for precise depth-of-cut control
  • Slightly wider blade for easier access into shoulder corners
  • O1 high-carbon steel blade, hardened and tempered to HRC 63

The Pegasus Pro No. 92 Shoulder Plane is a precision-made traditional woodworking plane, designed for accurate shoulder work, rebates and fine joinery.

Cast from fine grey iron, the body is precision machined, ground and polished to provide reliable accuracy and a refined finish. Finger recesses on both sides, together with the smoothly rounded upper section, provide a comfortable and secure grip during use.

The flat sole and square sides allow the plane to be guided accurately against the workpiece. Its 19 mm (¾") full-width blade is micro adjustable, giving precise control over the depth of cut. The blade is fractionally wider than the body, making it easier to work directly into the corners of shoulders.

The movable front section can be adjusted forwards or backwards to vary the mouth opening, allowing the plane to be configured for either fine or coarse work. Remove the front section completely and the No. 92 converts into a chisel plane, making it particularly useful for cleaning stopped rebates where rails and stiles meet.

A small internal set screw helps retain the original mouth setting when the front section is removed and reassembled, providing consistent setup between uses.

The O1 high-carbon spring-steel blade is oil quenched, hardened and tempered to HRC 63. It requires only final honing before use, keeping initial preparation to a minimum.

Pegasus Pro No. 92 — precision, versatility and traditional craftsmanship for demanding joinery work.
