Key Features

  • Precision-ground body with sides square to the sole
  • 25.4 mm (1") full-width blade with micro-adjustable depth control
  • Movable upper section for precise mouth-width adjustment
  • O1 high-carbon steel blade, oil quenched, hardened and tempered to HRC 63
  • Supplied in a protective presentation box
  • Converts easily to a chisel plane for cleaning stopped rebates
  • Blade is slightly wider than the body for easier work into corners
  • Minimal preparation required — simply hone the blade before use

Description

The Pegasus Pro No. 90 Bull Nose Plane is carefully ground, finished and polished to deliver the accuracy expected from a traditional fine-quality woodworking plane.

Its fine grey cast-iron body features comfortable finger recesses on both sides and a smoothly rounded upper section, providing a secure and natural grip during use. The precision-ground sole is flat, while the sides are accurately squared to the sole for dependable results.

The 25.4 mm (1") full-width O1 high-carbon steel blade provides excellent cutting performance and is micro-adjustable for precise depth control. Its slightly wider profile makes it particularly effective when working into corners.

The adjustable upper section can be moved forwards or backwards to alter the mouth opening, allowing the plane to be configured for either fine or coarse work. Remove the upper section completely and the No. 90 becomes a chisel plane, making it especially useful for cleaning stopped rebates where rails and stiles meet.

A small internal set screw allows the original mouth setting to be retained after disassembly, making setup quick and repeatable.
