Product Description
Loosely based on the Stanley No. 271, these small Router Planes are perfect for shallow mortise and small relief work. The compact design makes it easy to guide along narrow edges and fit into tight spaces.
The Closed Throat design gives more support in front of the blade, making it ideal for working on the edges of boards or cleaning out the end of a stopped groove in a rail or stile.
The cutter locks in position with a brass thumb screw, which has a screwdriver slot for an extra tweak. The cutter can be positioned either facing the open mouth which gives a better view for stopped grooves or inlay work. Alternatively, it can be used facing the closed mouth for better support in normal work. The base size is 105mm x 58mm, supplied with a 6.35mm cutter.
