Butt chisels give maximum control over cutting as they come very close to the workpiece. For finishing and fitting joints. Ideal for model making or where working space is limited. Razor-sharp fine-ground blade. Handmade by master blacksmith Murakuni. Manufactured from a harder steel (Hitachi - "White Paper") compared to our other chisels. Thanks to a hollow underside, the hard steel can be sharpened effectively.

This keeps the chisels sharp for longer, but increases the chances of small pieces breaking off if hammered too hard. These chisels are best used for fine and accurate work.
